Anisha wanted to go to Parallel Imported's clearance sale at the ASB Showgrounds this weekend so I took her there. We both picked-up our Valentines gifts for each other while on site.
We had planned to go for another walk, however Anisha didn't want to do it on Saturday so we decided we were going to do it on Sunday. As had happened previously before it was raining in the morning. We didn't go today and Anisha spent parts of Saturday and Sunday watching episodes of Smallville while I worked on revamping my website.
Over the course of the weekend I also dropped Anisha off at the Botany Downs Town Centre so that she could get a haircut and organise some things she needed to do at the post office.
We are looking at doing a walk in the Clevedon Scenic Reserve, however I am yet to find any specific information on available walks. At this stage I have read that there are a variety of walks there ranging in a number of levels of difficulty.
I also received a letter in the post from Cartridge World. They were offering me a 20% discount on ink or toner refills. There was a voucher included which I must say was not the best example of sharp printing around. I would expected it to be well presented for a company specializing in ink and toner cartridges. Anisha still has it in her handbag so hopefully I remember to get it back off her. Cartridge World are annoyingly only open to midday on Saturday.
I read in the Sunday Star Times about how a "Man bites pet to death in front of owner". Apparently a man killed a pet mouse by grabbing it from its shocked owner and biting its head. He is due to be charged with assault, cruelty to animals and offensive behavior.
I chatted online with Nigel regarding his new computer box, and the advantages and disadvantages of various RAID configurations. I have included a photo he sent me above.

Big Boys Toys
This morning Anisha and I went to The Coffee Club in Botany Downs. Not a minute went by after we made and paid for our order, the lights went out. The Coffee Club had a power-cut. When I investigated a bit further, it looks like a large selection of the shops on one side of Town Centre Drive has also been effected.
I had paid for our breakfast on my MasterCard, but due to the power outage, had to accept refund via cash. Once we left, we looked around and ordered our breakfast from Robert Harris.
After Breakfast, we went to the Big Boys Toys show. It is held at the ASB Showgrounds in Greenlane, Auckland. It is held from Friday 9th November to Sunday 11th November. Entry is NZ$18 for adults.
Interesting Highlights from the show included my opportunity to ride on a Segway, and the BMX stunt show (BMX Freestyle Team) that was held in the Arena.
Later in the day, I took Anisha to Harvey Norman in Manukau City to look at some cellphones.
One other thing, on Friday night I went to Harvey Norman in Botany and bought a new cellphone. I bought a Motorola RAZR V3x for NZ$299. I used the NZ$50 gift voucher that Charlene and Nick gave me for my birthday.

Useless Information: It is believed that in a small town in North Eastern part of India (Jatinga) birds commit suicide in a particular 1.5 km long and around 200 meters wide strip of field area. These birds are not suicidal since their behavior may be attributed to heavy rains and floods and submergence of their natural habitat in the surrounding areas. Also the local villagers light torches which attract the birds migrating at night. They then clobber them to death with bamboo poles and eat them!

The Food Show

Today we went to the food show. We arrived at 10am to a large queue. However, the queue did move at a reasonable pace and we were quickly inside.
Below is Anisha's account of events today.
Hayden and I went to the food show at about 10am. Poor Hayden had to wake up early. I made sure that we were there early so we didn't need to experience to much people traffic and that decision of being there early paid off.
I have learnt a few new recipes which is great. and I am going to try them out on Hayden, maybe sometime next week. We watched exciting and educational food demonstration from world famous chef Charmaine Solomon [A feast for a Maharajah. -Ed], she made Butter Chicken, spiced rice Pilaf with Raita.
Well that's all from me for now you might see my special appearances again in the future. signing off Anisha.
In the evening, Anisha and I played CSI: Dark Motives again, and solved the first case. Later on, I installed the Kontera ad code into my blog.

Useless Information: Children in the Chinook Indian tribe were strapped between boards from head to toe so that they would have fashionably flat skulls.
