Anisha and I went to the food court at the Force Entertainment Centre for dinner (The Sky City movie place on Queen Street) with Jolene and JR. I didn't have the butter chicken my mum complained Ive been having too much off. I had a Chicken combo (Leg of Chicken with Chips and Salad), which was probably just as bad or even worse. All the food in that food court is unhealthy crap.
At dinner I saw Jared that I worked with when I contracted with Peace Software. I gave him my private cellphone number and business card. He was in a rush for one reason or another. JR is on Myspace, Bebo, and Facebook. Jolene is on Facebook. I should make sure that I add them. JR dropped Anisha and I back to my car, and I dropped Anisha off home.
I was lucky as hell I didn't get pulled over by a cop on the way home. I was driving at 80km in the 50km zone on Allens Road (Off Highbrook Drive). Cop car came past me, switched his siren and lights on, but didn't pull me over. I felt completely naked without my Radar Detector. I haven't had it affixed for some time because of its inconvenience and risk of theft.
I also got a chain letter email from Jonathon Side. Not updates about his trip in the USA unfortunately.
In complete contrast to my previous attempts to get Anisha to join Facebook, she only did so tonight after finding out Jolene and JR were on Facebook. Go figure.
Earlier today I pointed my webcam out the window at work. I connected into work via VPN and remoted into my computer when I got home after dinner out. Unfortunately, it was too dark and could not see any image at all.
On the advertising front, I'm Considering ditching the Kontera advertising I run on this blog for three reasons:
- I have earned a total of 28c ($US) since I begun carrying these adverts
- The adverts often fail to load correctly when moused-over
- The advert relevance to the text in my blog is often questionable
At least with Google AdSense I am standing a chance of making some money.
Useless Information: The police of Thailand have been banned from carrying their water guns during the New Year's festival in Bangkok. The reason for this is because of the fear of them taking out their revolver instead of the water gun.

Lone Star to the rescue!

Jonathon Side is going to the United States on Tuesday. He is planning to stay there for three months and then return back to New Zealand. He is going to meet up with friends, and in particular a girl named Alycia who he has "met" on the Internet about 8 years ago.
Geraldine sent an email around this morning to roughly organise the dinner out tonight. She suggested Gengy's Restaurant in Newmarket. Geraldine sent me a link to some reviews of the restaurant, and details of its location. A lot of the reviews were less then favourable. Interested in this, I went to the Auckland City Council and checked its food hygiene status. That restaurant had a "D" grade, which is the second lowest you can get.
We met up outside this restaurant, and I convinced the group to go to a different restaurant. Ricky suggested The Lone Star Bar & Cafe, and we finally went there. Also, Jonathon mentioned that he preferred western food anyway.
Once inside, we did need to wait for a bit to get a table (there were seven of us). Once we had ordered, we also waited a long time for our food to arrive. However, I say it was definitely worth it.
I ordered a "Dixie Chicken" (Two tender breasts of chicken poached in a creamy sauce of wine, garlic, carrot, spring onions, herbs & corn. Served with Lone Star coleslaw salad & buffalo chips). This was fantastic! This was the best chicken I have ever had! For dessert, I had a "Cold Comfort" which was a Kapiti Ice Cream and strawberry pleasure. I thoroughly recommend the Lone Star Bar and Cafe.
After a subsequent investigation on the Auckland City Council website, Lone Star has a food grading of "A", with the last inspection date being 10/07/2007. Lone star is located at 8 Kent Street, Newmarket.
Earlier on today, Anisha and I went to the FM Cafe for lunch. Sue Farley from Datacom was on the table just over by herself.

Anisha's Leaving Drinks

Today was Anishas Datacom leaving drinks at the Cardrona Bar. The following people were there; Mark, Jolene, Jay, JR, Alan, and Jonothan. A couple of people that play Eve online were there as well on the invite of Alan.
After drinks, we dropped into Rickys apartment for a bit for a quick visit.

Useless Information: The origin of the most used four-letter word: In Irish police stations in the 19th century - when public indecency was a serious crime - couples were charged with being Found Under Carnal Knowledge. Police abbreviated it to its initials and called it a F U C K charge.
